Places to Visit in Brittany
There are many historic towns and villages around Brittany with beautiful churches, châteaux and menhirs. A fabulous coastline with scenery that changes from rugged and rocky, to small secluded beaches and tiny harbours where boats bob around on the tide. Fishing ports where you can buy fish almost as it is taken off the vessel. Many small islands, some inhabited, others not, that are dotted around the coasts. Some of these have access via passenger ferries. Inland is just as spectacular, with its green forests, lakes and rivers.. The beautiful rolling countryside, you see everywhere you go, never fails to please.
Towns well worth a visit for their lovely architecture are Quimper, Pontivy, Dinan, Josselin and Lorient. All are within easy driving distance.
