The property for sale is located at Glomel near the Nantes-Brest canal, in the beautiful, open, countryside of Central Brittany and close to the ancient town of Rostrenen. The 200 year old Breton house and adjoining cottage, of granite and slate, have been lovingly restored to the highest possible specifications.
The garden is laid mainly to lawn with a private drive and parking area for several vehicals. There is standing for a caravan or camper with electric hookup. There is a well, vegetable plot, greenhouse and many mature trees. A decked area runs the length of the house giving wonderful views.
The remainder of the land is left to grow naturally and has five acres of woodland with an abundance of oak trees and much wildlife, such as deer, badgers, owls and much more. The trees also provide a good source of wood for the log burners. There is a very large hanger, Cottage side, with electricity and water.
The village of Glomel has a boulongere, pharmacy, bar, convenience store, Italian pizza restaurant and an Auberge that serves lunch time meals. There is also a post office and a hairdresser.
