Owl Barn is located at Glomel near the Nantes-Brest canal, in the beautiful, open, countryside of Central Brittany and close to the ancient town of Rostrenen. The 200 year old Breton Gite, of granite and slate, has been lovingly restored to the highest possible specifications and provides quality, luxurious, self-catering, rental cottage accommodation for your holiday in rural France.
Owl barn sleeps four people in two very comfortable en-suite bedrooms. It is heated and has a wood-burning stove for winter breaks and those cooler evenings.
So whether you want a relaxing holiday or you wish to take advantage of the many activities on our doorstep, such as cycling, walking, fishing or canoeing, to mention a few; Owl Barn offers all this and more.
The village of Glomel has a boulongere, pharmacy, bar, convenience store, Italian pizza restaurant and an Auberge that serves lunch time meals. Also a post office and a hairdresser.Glomel also boasts it has the largest Menhir in the Côtes d’Armor. 3km away is our large Inter- marche supermarket where you can get all your fresh fish and meat and of course wine and beer.
The Lac de Corong is a short walk away and has a beach area where you can swim, walk, hire canoes, go fishing, or just enjoy the breath-taking scenery.
The beautiful Nantes à Brest Canal is about 2km away and here you can walk, cycle, canoe, or fish.
Rostrenen is a lovely little market town about 3km away and has shops, restaurants and holds a market every Tuesday, where you can buy fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables and other locally produced items.
